Job Description

Temporary Qualified Auditors | Hybrid | £27.18 per hour
Hybrid | Duration 4 months

-June 17th start date

-£27.18 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay

-6 weeks full office training in the London offices (or at client’s premises) 

-Five days per week

-Opportunity to work from home up to two days a week thereafter.

Our client, a well-known Auditor based in the City of London is looking for several Qualified Auditors. You will be responsible for liaising with the following people: Clients, Audit Managers and Trainee Auditors.

To qualify for these roles, you will have:

-A minimum of three years experience working on audit assignments.

-Experience in supervising audit staff.

-ACA or equivalent qualification.

Job Specification

Undertake client work as directed, mainly involving statutory audits but may also encompass other client assignments such as grant audits.

Follow the firm’s policies and procedures on all work to achieve high standards and deliver excellent service to clients

-Adhere to the firm’s standards on independence and professional ethics

-Keep managers regularly informed of activities, capacity and progress on assignments to ensure that time is fully utilised – daily/weekly check-ins as required.

-Participate in meetings as appropriate, playing an active part in internal briefing and de-brief sessions

-Provide effective supervision and training to trainee accountants who are undertaking audit work

-Presenting completed audit file for manager review, which includes management letter

-Any other tasks in line with the responsibilities of the role.

Skills and Knowledge

-Thorough knowledge of international auditing standards and UK generally accepted accounting practices.

-Experience in statutory audit in the charity sector and understanding of charity accounting requirements (SORP 2015).

-Ability to lead an audit team as the most senior member of the team as well as working alone.

-Ability to undertake audits remotely and actively engage with clients in a remote environment.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate well with non-finance personnel when engaging with clients

-Ability to prioritise own work effectively, planning time and assignments effectively to meet client deadlines and internal deadlines

-IT literate, particularly in relation to the use of Microsoft Office applications.

-Experience in dealing with senior staff when engaging with clients.

You must be available for the full duration of this project of four months and you must be able to work fully office-based, for the first 6 weeks, 5 days per week. The role will then become hybrid.
