Temporary Clinical Administrator
Central London (North London until December)
Full-time, 35 hours per week
£16 per hour
A leading organisation is seeking a dedicated Clinical Administrator to join their Clinical Service team. This role provides essential administrative support to clinicians to help manage the assessment and treatment processes from referral through to the completion of care, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle administrative tasks throughout the assessment and treatment process, including managing referrals and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Respond to phone and email enquiries, providing accurate information about services.
- Coordinate appointment bookings, including interpreter and room arrangements as needed.
- Maintain and update client databases, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Take minutes during meetings and follow up on any actions, ensuring smooth communication between team members.
- Provide administrative support for audits and other clinical governance-related tasks.
- Assist in the induction of new staff and volunteers, familiarising them with administrative processes.
- Support other admin staff within the clinical service to ensure consistent cover and team efficiency.
- Follow safeguarding policies and liaise with clinicians regarding any identified risks or safeguarding concerns.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a clinical or mental health setting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using databases.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, demonstrating sensitivity to cross-cultural issues.
- Calm and professional, especially when working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
