Job Description

Our client, a construction company based in East London, is currently looking for a Purchase Ledger on a 6-month contract, with the potential to go permanent.

You will be expected to perform any of the following tasks:

  • Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of purchase summaries
  • Processing business expense returns
  • Cashbook and petty cash cheques

Person Specification

Typical qualities of a successful Purchase Ledger include:

  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Self discipline
  • Good team working skills
  • The ability to work to monthly deadlines
  • An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages such as Excel and RedSky
