Job Title: HR Assistant
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum
Location: London
Reporting to: HR Manager / Head of People
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Fully Office Based
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our client's busy HR team in London. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and a passion for supporting people processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in the smooth delivery of HR services across the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support across all areas of HR including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, and employee relations.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with the recruitment process including job postings, CV screening, and interview coordination.
- Coordinate new starter processes: contracts, right-to-work checks, and induction scheduling.
- Support monthly payroll processing by collating and checking data.
- Assist with the delivery of internal communications and HR initiatives.
- Maintain HR systems and ensure data integrity.
- Support performance review cycles and training tracking
- Respond to general HR queries from employees and managers.
- Support HR projects and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar HR or administrative role
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is an advantage
- CIPD Level 3 (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
- Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information
