Digital Marketing Executive (Software Industry)
£33,000 - £38,000 + discretionary bonus and amazing benefits
London - the City

This is an exciting role that will enable you to demonstrate your digital experience in the fastest growing area of marketing. You will receive coaching and formal training provided to enable you to be the best you can be. Attitude is key and we are looking for individuals who don't necessarily have all the answers, but know what questions to ask!

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to execute on digital plans. This will include:
    • Liaising with key internal/external suppliers, some of whom are off-shore
    • Delivering to agreed timeframes
  • Delivering and tracking the progress of digital initiatives through:
    • On-site analytics
    • A/B testing
    • User feedback
    • User testing
    • Speed and uptime reporting
    • Lead generation
  • Inputting into digital innovation:
    • Proposing solutions to key user and business problems
    • Evaluating vendors of differentiating digital capabilities
  • Providing internal consultancy to Digital Marketing and beyond:
    • Usability best practice
    • Traffic optimisation
    • Conversion.
  • The role will include:
    • Optimisation of on-line bookstore for traffic and sales
    • Improvement of Marketing Automation execution
    • Operational execution and evolution of the company's site
  • Operational undertakings:
    • Management of inventory and campaigns on various sites

Key result areas:

  • Hitting conversion, revenue, and traffic targets
  • Timely execution of plans
  • Communications transparency and organisational clarity around digital operations and tactics
  • Improving NPS for sites
  • Raise brand awareness within the segment

Key Skills

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a digital marketing environment (either B2B or B2C), ideally in software organisation
  • Experience of executing effective lead generation, customer nurture, and retention marketing programmes
  • Exposure to A/B testing (Qubit, Maxymiser, Optimost, etc.)
  • Strong analytical capabilities: Google Analytics/Data Studio
  • Must be able to demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a matrix management structure
  • Ability to make fact-based decisions and to prioritise accordingly
  • Experience using a CMS
  • Demonstrable and deep knowledge of two or more of the following areas

Desirable skills:

We are looking for evidence of strong / deep knowledge in at least four of the following areas:

    • Analytics
    • Foundational knowledge of CSS and HTML
    • User Research and User Experience
    • CRO and A/B testing
    • Site development
    • Social media execution (including social selling)
    • Marketing Automation.
    • eCommerce / store development
    • SEO, PPC, or programmatic marketing.
