Administrator | £23,000 - £26,000 per annum | London

Permanent | Hybrid | Full-time

This is an exciting opportunity, working for a well-known non-for-profit, for an individual looking to gain and develop experience in Human Resources (HR). In this role, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to HR, the L&D team and employees, whilst treating information with strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as first-point-of-contact for HR queries–escalating issues when required.
  • Maintaining and overseeing the HR, L&D and Recruitment inbox and responding to emails in a timely matter.
  • Providing support in HR meetings as necessary
  • Initiating and managing the administrative process of employees through the employee lifecycle; from recruitment, through to onboarding/induction, and then, leaving.
  • Verifying right-to-work documents.
  • Maintaining employee records and ensuring payroll spreadsheets are updated as employee details are received.
  • Ensuring that all HR files and databases are efficiently set up and maintained–observing confidentiality at all times.
  • Producing recruitment advertisements in-line with practices of the HR Team. 
  • Ensuring job descriptions and person specifications are up-to-date and relevant/compliant with EDI requirements.
  • Arranging job advertisements.
  • Receiving and processing applications and CVs–filing and logging them accurately. 
  • Liaising with internal and external job applicants, advertising providers and recruitment agencies and other suppliers as necessary.
  • Monitoring mandatory training and managing their completion using reports on each directorate.
  • Providing support for new starter inductions.
  • Being involved in various projects as required such as: training needs analysis, ROI, training etc.
  • Producing reports and analysis of learning activities.

Personal Requirements:

  • Have previous experience in an administration role.
  • Be numerate, accurate, and have good attention to detail.
  • Be discrete and confidential at all times.
  • Have an ability to manage time effectively.
  • Be a team player and deliver on deadlines.
  • Be highly motivated and proactive with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Be discreet whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of grammatical correctness and punctuation.
